Filip, tatal, a inceput columbofilia in 1954. Tatal lui si fratii acestuia au fost, de asemenea, columbofili. Intotdeauna a avut ambitia de a fi cel mai bun si a transmis aceasta filozofie de viata copiilor sai.
Fiul sau Jo si fiica sa Miet au mostenit aceasta conceptie de viata si deja au 25 de ani de experienta in ceea ce priveste columbofilia practicata in mod profesionist. Sunt asistati zilnic de catre cei 2 manageri ai crescatoriei, Kristof Daniels si Francois Jamar. Au format in birouri o echipa fantastica de tineri extrem de motivati. Cel de-al doilea fiu, medicul veterinar Raf, este responsabil cu mentinerea in conditie optima a acestor campioni.
Nicio alta crescatorie nu a reusit sa produca atat de multi campioni nationali ai Belgiei. Nu doar acesti campioni populeaza crescatoria noastra, ci si alti campioni nationali, olimpici si castigatori de nationale reproduc in volierele din Dungelstraat 37. Acesta echipa fantastica de porumbei constituie baza multor ani de succes la nivel national si international.
Jo Herbots: “ Primim zilnic foarte multe multumiri din intreaga lume de la crescatori care concureaza cu succes cu porumbeii nostri si acest fapt ne stimuleaza sa muncim mai mult si sa devenim mai buni. Prietenia si increderea pe care le primim din partea columbofililor sunt foarte importante pentru noi.”
